Came Commisli Issues Weekly Fish State PORTLAND (F- Tht weeilj fishing bulletin of the Oregon State Game Cocftmission: North west Fishing fair to good in the Lit. Hood area but some streams are murky from glacial waters. Bait gng will produce the best results. Clackamas River is in ex cellent condition and good catches are being made on both flies and bait. Trout angling is poor with some bJueback and Chinook be ing taken in the lower Nehalem. Clatsop County lakes are still pro ducing some spiny-rays. Fishing on the McKenzie - River and its tributaries is fair to good on bait and flies. Willamette River and Salt Creek are improved over last week. Clear Lake and Linton. Lake axe s Dotty. Big Lake and Dorena Reservoir are poor. Trout angling In the Nestacca and above tide water has been poor to fair. In tidewater the Wilson River has been producing some nice catches, mostly blueback. Southwest Trout angling on coastal lakes and streams is poor. Salmon fishing in the lower Rogue River Is fair to good. Sal mon fishing at Brookings is good. Trout fishing is good in the Rogue River from Prospect to Muir Creek and fair from Gold Hill to McCloud. Steelhead catches are fan and improving from Gold .Hill to Rogue Elk. Some lack salmon are being taken at Bybe Bridge and -Sandy Cove area. Salmon fishing at Winchester Bay is fair when weather conditions . permit small boats across tne bar. Trout fishing on coastal lakes is poor, Good catches of trout are reported m the North Umpqua River from Winchester to Eagle Rock and South Umpqua from Milo to Camp Comfort. Some salmon trout are being' taken in the lower Umpqua near Reeds port. Summer steelhead angling is good - at Steamboat Central Angling prospects in the Central Region for the week end are picking up. Three Creeks Lake has produced some good catches on troll. Blue Lake has been good on flies in the eve ning. Fly fishing on the Topper Deschutes near Cow Camp is very good. Mid-Deschutes in the Trout Creek, Maupin, and Grandview areas is fair to good. Cove on Crooked River Is very good. A few big fish, are being taken In Wickiup Reservoir. Sparks Lake has been producing limit catches late in the evening. Paulina Lake is picking up. Davis Lake is fair to good on Black Streamer flies with a 22 inch trout taken last week. In Odell Lake, Mackinaw fishing has begun to drop off con siderably. Crescent Lake is good with trolling on fender and worms. Reports of the high lakes so far this season has been very good very Lwith some very nice trout being taken in the Mink Lake Basin ana the Taylor Burn area. Steelhead fUMng on the mld-Deschutes is picking up and prospects for this weekend, are very good.
