Mrs. Shepard and daughter, Susan and Sydney, are pic tured in the attractive garden by the creek of their North Summer street home. Mr. Shepard is vice-president of Sicks' Brewing Co., with offices in Portland. The Shepards' eldest daughter, Mrs. George C. Alexander, now lives In Everett, Wash., and their son, Robert, is taking his ROTC training at McChord Field. (Kennell-Ellis Photo) CAKES AT HOME PLATE An annual event for baseball fans which takes on a personal twist, is the annual family night picnic of Salem Senators Baseball team and their families and all interested baseball families, which is planned for Monday night at 6 o'clock. The tables will be set in the outfield at Waters Park. Baseball fans are in vited to bring1 their families and their lunches and Join the baseball player and families at the informal meal. Wives of players and officials will bake cakes which will be served aa dessert at the picnic. Caks are first to be judged and prizes awarded. Mrs. Oscar White, Marion county home demonstration agent will Judge the cakes at 4 o'clock. Mr. Kern Is a field execu tive wtih the Cascade Area, Boy Scouts. Mrs. Kem is a former Salem resident and will be remembered as Josephine Kennedy. Mrs. Siddoway will be remembered as Mary Ann Brady, daughter of the Robert G. Bradys. Dr. Siddoway has opened his dentist offices in the Medical Cente (Kennell-Ellis Photo) Spending the summer at their new home, Fircliffe, on Homestead Road are Mrs. Richard Olson and children, Phillip, Beret Ann and Mark. The Olsons reside in Chicago, but come west in June to spend the summers in Oregon. Eventually the Olsons to make their permanent residence at Fircliffe. Mr. Olson accompanied his family west and will return irr August for a stay before returning to Chicago GCenneU-Ellis Photo!
