urn Children's Furniture Grows Up With Junior, Longer Use ur if"""'' lu- By SUE GARDNER Basic juvenile furniture that grows with the child so he can use it as long as he lives in his parent's home is gaining fav or with par ents. Robert W. Limpus has de signed a group of modern iur- take care of a child from lour years up and can be grad ally rearranged for an adult's room. All oi his furniture is in a na tural finish maple and designed for long use and hard wear. For the child who has outgrown his crib, there is a youth bed which can be ordered finished as a studio couch with foam rubber mattress. The wooden frame has two finished arms along the back and one side ot the bed. These are placed at right angles and opposite the wall so the child has protection if he rolls against them in his sleep. When he be comes too old for a youth bed, you turn the bed around with the long wooden arm against the wall, and by placing a remov able bolster against this arm you have an adult sofa bed. Storage drawers under the bed serve to hold the bedding and you can also have a storage compart ment instead of the bolster to serve as extra storage space. The compartment has two sliding doors at the top. There are three basic units in ; the collection which can be ar ranged in many different for mations. They are a bookcase, a cabinet with two sliding doors and a three-drawer chest. All are 34 inches high, 28 wide and 14 deep. Panels in the cabinet doors and chest drawers can be had in any color to contrast with the maple background. For old er children, the units can be stacked, since the metal legs on the bottom are removable. A work table with metal legs and lacquer finish has a top 48 by 19 inches and can be had 24 or 28 inches high. Chairs have metal legs and wooden seat and back rest and are 16Vi inches high.
