Junior-Senior Prom Event Of Saturday Outstanding event of the pre- commencemect festivities for Sa lem High School students will be the annual Junior-Senior prom on Saturday night. May 24 at the school gymnasium. Dancing will be between 9 and 12 o'clock with The Columbia Five orchestra playing. "Mardi Gras" is the theme for this year's dance. Turner Concert to Be Heard Tonight Young musicians who received high ratings m syllabus and audi tions held last week, will be heard tonight in concert beginning at 7 o'clock at Willamette university Music Hall. Blanchards Feted On Anniversary SHERIDAN Mr. and Mrs. El mer Blanchard celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with two family reunions and an open house. Elmer Blanchard and Laura Buell were married at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. C. P. Blanchard at McMinnville May 7, 1902. and have lived here all their married life with the exception of 20 years spent at Culver. Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard have six children, all of whom were present for the celebration. There were also 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild present. Then children are Mrs. R. G. Thomas of Sheridan. Charles Blanchard of Madias, Vance Blanchard of Bend, Vein Blanchard of Redmond, Mrs. Cecil Colson of Sheridan and Mrs. James Morey of Salem. Saturday Mr. Blanchard's family had a family reunion honoring the couple at the Buell Hall, when about 75 relatives and friends were gathered. Sunday Mrs. Blanchard's family had a family reunion at the Blanchard home, when about 56 were present. Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 was open house for friends and neighbors. About 50 called during the afternoon. Serving were the Blanchard's daughters. Mrs. James Morey, Mrs. Cecil Colson, Mrs. Dora Thomas, and granddaughters, Mrs. J. H. Klaneeky.
