The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norris D. Clement of Gresham, iormerly of Salem, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Myrl C. Bunnell. The couple will reside :n Salem. (Kennell-Ellis Photo) Annual Charity Tournament Third annual charity tourna ment of the Salem Elks Duplicate Bridge club, which will be held Friday evening. May 23, is ex pected to be by far the largest ever held; according to Walter M. Cline and Jack Neilsen, co-chairmen. Most of the 118 club mem bers are expecting to attend but all must bring non-members of the bridge league if they are to compete for prizes or master points. In this week's senior competi tion. William H. Wood and Mrs. Dorothy Remmey of Brownsville had high score east-west. While Arthur L. Lewis and Leonard Kremen topped 12 teams on the other side of the duplicate boards. Others winning honors include Mrs. Stuart Thede and Ellis H. Jones, Walter M. Cline and Mrs. Ward Graham, and Edward E. Roth and Ralph S. Dannen of Brownsville. The Friday open tournament re sulted as follows: firsts, Mrs. Asa I. Eoff and Oliver B. Huston, Mrs. Paul F. Burris and William F. Leary; second, L. W. Frasicr of Albany and Walter M. Cline, Mrs. F. C. Liftz and Lin Miles: Third, Mrs. Leona Taylor and Mrs. Ar thur S. Binegar, Ray Ward and Mrs. F. T. Munger. Juniors hieh in their ten-table play were Mrs. Lloyd Jones and Sam Ramp. The women were chosen for their personality and willingness to cooperate and work. They were presented with recognition pins. Halls Ferry Mothers Fete Husbands Tonight HALLS FERRY Members of the Halls Ferry Mothers Club will entertain their husbands at a covered -dish dinner at the school at 7 p.m. Friday. Over $80 was realized from the carnival last week which insures the continuance of the school hot lunch program for the remainder of the school year. The 4-H Girls Club sold candy and cookies to pay for a summer school scholarship. Dick Stearns Sent to Replace Dick Stearns KILGORE, Tex.
