Lutz and Ray Kemp, finishing first in the final tourna ment of the junior series in the Salem Elks Duplicate Bridge club competition, wero high in the per centage column to determine local representatives for the Seaside sectional play during the coming weekend. On the senior side, Mrs. Arthur Binegar was high among local players with Mrs. Harry Wiedmer and Mrs. Everett Day not far behind and Ellis H. Jones, William F. Leary, Mrs. Edna How ell and Mrs. Paul F. Burris also Winning places. Other junior tops went to Mrs. Wesley Ritchie, Mrs. R. F. Baxter, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Ramp of Brooks, Charles L. New som, Mrs. E. E. Boring,, Mrs. Moore Yoder, Mrs. W. R. Newmyer and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jones. About 40 of the Salem membership of 118 are expected to attend the Sea side event, which will have play ers from all over the Northwest. . Ceremony Read At Barlow DALLAS Of interest to many Dallas friends is the wedding of Miss Myrtle Euna Fast, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Fast of Jenning Lodge, to Leonard Derk son, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Derkson of Dallas, at a candle light service at the Calvary Men nonite Church at Barlow, Friday, April 4, at 8 o'clock. Rev. Paul Roth read the double ring serv ice. Preceding the ceremony, Ever ett Schirman of Portland sang accompanied by Mrs. Harry How ard. Lighting the candles were Jan ie Derkson and Karen Friesen. Given in marriage by her. fa ther, the bride wore a gown of white bridal satin, fashioned with a fitted bodice and net yoke. The gathered skirt had a full train. A net veil was caught to a daisv crown of seed pearls. She car ried a white bible and a white orchid. Iola Morris, th maid of honor, and Delores Wall, the bridesmaid, wore identical gowns of pale green satin with net trim, matching mitts and headress of satin. They carried colonial nosegays in pas tel colors. Carol Jean Conrad of Canby was the flower girl and Randy Hostettler of Aurora was tho ring bearer. Navy blue gowns and rosebud and gardenia corsages were worn by the mothers of the couple. Mrs. Isaac Entz, grandmother of the groom, was dressed in navy with white accessories. A reception was held in the parlor of the church. The wedding cake was cut by Mrs. Betty Frie sen. Mrs. Clifford Conrad poured and Mrs. Arnold Frey presided at the punch bowl. Frank Morris, Harley Hostettler, David Jones ana uimora Conrad served. Mrs. Ivan Lierfield, the hostess, was as sisted by Beverly Yoder, Mrs. Roscoe Christner, Mrs. David Jones, Mrs. Lester Conrad, Mrs. William Schenk, Mrs, Lee Yoder, Roselie and Eileen Halle, Winona Roth, and Hazel Schenk.
