It was decided this week after Commissioner Milton L. My ers reported on name duplications found in conference with Post master Albert C. Gragg. The commission asked Meyers, street name chairman, to suggest new names at me April IS com mission meeting la City Hall. Most of the streets, said Meyers, have no houses on them yet. Streets due for new names re Quire public hearings and City Council action. Tlmse under con sideration now are: Summit Drive at west end of Madrons; Georgia Avenue near Ptfeatda Road; Gaarga street west of Wallace Road; Indiana Street near Pringle Road; Albert Read near Sihrerton Road; Carolina Street near Beitaa Boulevard; Hayesvffie Drive wast of Port land Road and Bbnes Street In VT est Salem. Draft Board In Armory Marion County inductees and draft registrants will report to a new location, Salem Armory, be ginning Monday. First Inductees will leave there April 2. The selective service office will move Monday morning, it was an nounced Thursday. A lease for larger quarters on the Armory's second floor was signed recently. The office moved from da Ar mory in 1948 to a warehouse off Court and Liberty . Streets. Mrs. Edna Wilhelm, chief clerk, said the office would not be open un til about noon Monday. The board received a call to send seven men for induction Ap ril 2, but five of those will be transferred to other boards, leav ing two to report at the Armory that day.
