February 14, 1352 Eunice Evans, Mr. Ringle Married Red and white, featuring the Valentine colors and motif, were used in the decorations and gowns of the attendants for the marriage of Miss Eunice Evans and Gordon Ringle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Ringle of Salem, on Wednesday night. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Jesse Rose of Brunswick, Neb., and Samuel H. Evans of Venus. Neb. It was at 6 o'clock that the Rev. Beth Huntington officiated at the nuptials at the First Congrega tional Church. Edith Fairham Gun nar was the soloist and Jean Hob son Rich the organist. The altar was banked with bouquets of red and white flowers tied with red bows and the white candelabras were also tied with the red bows. The alternate pews were marked with white satin bows and tapers. Far her wedding the bride chose a becoming floor length white sa tin and lace gown. The skirt was very full, fashioned with a lace peplum and the lace bodice was enhanced with a satin cape which buttoned down the back. Her fin gertip length tulle veil cascaded from a lace cap adorned with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses. Three attendants preceded the bride te the altar. Mrs. Eddie C. Barker of McMinnville was her sister's matron of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. Charles T. Stoner. also sister of the bride, and Mrs. Jack Moore, cousin of the groom. They wore identical frocks of white net over taffeta with red net stoles, red Juliet caps and shoes. They carried heart shaped bouquets of red roses, white ree- sias and bouvardia encircled with red net. Attend the Graom Richard Beyer served as best man and seating the guests were Lawrence E. Baer and Charles A. Love. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Rose selected a grey gown with black accessories and a corsage of pink .-oses and freesias. Mrs. Rin gle attended her son's marriage in a brown and white print sheer with white hat and white and brown accessories. Her flowers were bronze roses and freesias. A reception followed in the fire place room. Pouring were Mrs. John L. Benfer, grandmother of the groom, and MrS. Solon Shln kle. Cutting the cake was Mrs. Lu Verne Hardwick. Assisting were Mrs. Donald J. Callahan, Mrs. Ja mes R. Jones and Miss Ellen Van Arsdale. After a wedding trip the new ly weds will be at home in Salem at 1040 Bellevue St. For going way the bride changed to a beige suit with pink hat and accessories and Kolinsby furs. Camp Directors Hold Workshop Twenty-five camp directors from all parts of the state met at the YMCA in Salem this weekend for a Camp Directors Workshop spon sored by the Oregon Section of the American Camping Associa tion. Bert Crary of Willamette University spoke Friday evening on "Food Orders and Purchas ing.' On Saturday, Frank Washburn, new Associate Boy's Director of the Salem YMCA held a session on "Camp Folders and- Promotion" and Miss Ruth VanArmum, Exec utive Director, Camp Fire Girls, Vancouver, Wash., led -a discussion on "Health Cards and Examina tions." J. W. Bayless, Portland, was guest consultant on the topic "In surance and Taxes" at a luncheon meeting at the Senator Hotel. The meeting closed with a session on "Salary Scales" led by Miss Donna Gill, Director of Camp Tamarack, Lebanon. Miss Dorothy Wilson, local Girl Scout Field Director was in charge of arrangements for the work shop. Four Corners Mrs. Warren Shrake was hostess on Monday afternoon honoring her son, Gregg, on his fourth birthday. Mothers and children bidden were Mrs. Walt Edwards and Denny, Mrs. Harold Snook and David, Joan Bums, Kay and Walter Wagner. Mrs. Charles Heltzel presided and Walter Beck, principal, welcomed the fathers. Dr. Dean K. Brooks, assistant superintendent of the Oregon State Hospital, gave a talk on "Psychology of Child Behavi our. Announcement was made that a parents council has. been organiz ed, which will represent all PTA, mothers and dads clubs in the city. The membership banner was awarded to Miss Edith Farming's second grade room. The refreshment committee was composed of third grade mothers including Mesdames Edgar Husted, Ray Redding, J. J. Linn, Kenneth Epley, Robert Sprague, John Mar vin Ritchie, Iva Croker and Cletus Boedigheimer. Sweetheart Dinner For Lions Club Salem Lions club members and their wives turned out in force Wednesday evening for a family style chicken dinner at the Marion Hotel. The occasion was the club's annual Sweelheart party. Valentine decorations and print ed programs carried the party the me. Special attention was paid at the head table to the club presi dent, Fred G. Starrett, and the auxiliary president, Mrs. Roy Todd. For the entertainment program following the dinner Judge Joseph B. Felton was master of ceremo nies. A Spike Jones pantomime act featured Salem High students Larr Springer and Robert Payne. A one act comedy, "Suppressed Desires" featured a Willamette University drama group, Judi Wood, Patricia Moll and Garold Meinke, directed by Mrs. Dorothy Judd. Group singing was led by Victor Palmason with Frank Sanders as pianist. A school ensemble provid ed dinner music. The Sweetheart party was ar ranged by Wayne Gordon, chair man; Donald Brazie, R. W. Land, Stanley Smith, Dr. John M. Ram age and Dr. Frank D. Voigt. Lions familiar "tail twisting" antics were in the hands of Bert Walker, Robert D. Geddes and Dr. Voigt.
