While stffl hot, pour first mixture over the- cake and let coot Serve with whipped cream. 1 And while we are on the subject of oranees let's look at this sauce u serve over sauteed bananas or French toast: ORANGE SAUCE ft cup sugar ; ! 2 tablespoons, lemon juice 2 tablespoons flour ; ; i 2 tablespoons orange rind ft teaspoon salt j ' 1 tablespoon butter s ft cttn orange Juice i I Mix sugarr flour and salt and add remaining: Ingredients. Cool, beat yolks slightly, then fold in remaining sugar, lemon and salt Cook in top of double boiler over water until thick and lemon colored, about 8 or W minutes. Bemove, cool, and com bine with half of cream. Fill meringue shell with this. Cover j with remaining, whipped cream. Chill in refrigerator for 24 hours be fore served. j Lemon dumplings are another dessert: LEMON DUMPLINGS Put 4 cup auzar in the bottom of a baking nan. Adit fciica and grated, rind of one lemon. Dot with butter and sprinkle some flour over generously. Place 81 or 10. rich, baking: powder biscuits on this and gently pour boiHn water between biscuits until they swim. This makes tha sauca. The club is reported meet ing its quota of blood donors each month. Mrs. Richard Klover, chairman of the "Dresses for Netherlands," reported that each junior club member in Oregon is making a dress for girls between the ages of S and 7. - Mrs. Donald Cooper was in charge of tht meeting and the program was presented by Girl Scout Troop 37 of Leslie school, which is sponsored by the club.
