Laidlaw Married in i Portland I Joanne Enyeart Becomes Bride Of Donald New at1 Church Rites ' The attendants, vbo preceded: ICss' Joanne Enyeart down the aisle when abe became W. Donald New bride on . Saturday night, wore frock in the fall shades aai carnation lets,! which had been 'flown over from Hawaii. The beautiful ceremony ! took place at the First Christian church at S o'clock with Dr. Daniel Schulze officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Enyeart and the groom is the son oi airs, w. a. h'ew, who was here from her home la Honolulu for the nuptials, and the late Captain New. USN. Miss Betty Jean Mullin was the solo ist and Mrs. Jess Jones the organ ist The altar was decorated with bouctuet of gladioluses in the fall shades to harmonize with the gowns of the bridesmaids. - Mrs. Albert Miles (Janyce Ba ker), the honor matron, wore a green net frock erer green taffeta with rounded neckline, puffed sleeres and full skirt. Bridesmaids were Miss Gayie Jove, who wore cocoa brown net over brown taf feta, and Miss Patricia Fitzxim mons, whose dress was of gold net over matching taffeta. The junior bridesmaid was Lynne En yeart and her frock was of coral net over taffeta. The attendants all wore pale yellow carnation leis and matching headpieces of the carnations. 4 .,'' Bridal Gewa ef Lace The bride's handsome gown was of chantiliy lace over net, the net skirt forming a short train. The dmu was designed with a net guimpe with lace Peter Pan collar and long sleeves worn under a uce bodice. The scalloped lace over aklrt extended to the floor in back and was worn over a double net skirt A Juliet cap of lace enhan ced with pearls held in her place her ' tulle fingertip veiL She car ried a spray of white cattleya and phalanopda orchids, which had also been flown over from the is lands. . ' - ' ; i John Steadman was best man - for Mr. New and ushers were 12 roy Fulmer, Fred Sutherland, Cordon Enyeart, Sam Gill and James Colt Mrs. Enyeart chose a grey sheer gown with lace insertion and pink cloves and shoes for her daugh ter's wedding. Her corsage was of orchid cattleyas. Mrs. New attend- - ed her son's marriage in a royal blue lace ballerina gown with cor sage of yellow cattleya orchids. ' Their flowers had also come from - Honolulu.1 - , - The newlyweds greeted v their guests at a reception in the fire place room. The couple cut the first piece of their cake with the late Captain New's naval academy word. Pouring were Mrs. Hardy Counce of Nebraska and Mrs. J. S. Triplett of California. Mrs. Low ell Sloan cut her niece's cake. As sisting were Mrs. Edgar Lloyd. Mrs. Alma Dunn. Mrs. Howard Barnwell, Mrs. Eliot MoUchen backer. Misses Marilyn Burris, Jacquoline Johnson, Marian Car eon and Leona Burgoyne. After September 10 the couple will be at home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Mr. New will be with Allls-Chalmers. Engaged Couplo Feted at Party Miss Juanita Burr and her fiance, Gerald Andresen were hon ored at a picnic and miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Virgil Perrine. , Mrs. P. E. Sanders was the co-hostess. The couple wUl be married on September It at St Paul's Episcopal church. Out-of-town guests at the party were Sergeant and Mrs. Paul A. Andresen of Vancouver, Wash. Sergeant Andresen has Just re turned from a year of duty in Korea. Others present were Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Burr, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Andresen. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hcke, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Sanders. Miss Burr is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Burr of Labish Center and her fiance Is the son of the Charles Andresens of Hayes- ville. They are building a new home in the Hayesville district, which they will occupy after their marriage. Linen Shower for Bride-Elect - Miss Jeane Schopeboom was hostess for a linen shower Friday in honor of Miss Rita Morrison, who will be married to George Colyer on August 23.
