Their daughter, Sally, who has been in Germany with the army special services for the past two years, docked in New York Friday V . . she plans to spend the summer months in Salem with her parents . . . The senior McLellans are leaving by car this morning for Fargo to meet their daughter and visit their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel J. McLellan, jr., who now reside in Fargo, where he is an irrigation specialist at North Da kota State College . . . Sally will visit a few days in New York and Washington, D. C, and plans to arrive in Fargo on Saturday to join her family . . . Mr, and Mrs. McLellan and Sally will return to the west together, planning to ar rive in Salem on June 4 . . . Entraining . . . for Columbia, Missouri, on Tuesday will be Mrs. Ralph Hamilton, who will attend the graduation of her - daughter. Sharon, from Ste phens College on May 29 . . The two will leave immediately after the 8:30 a.m. exercises to return west . . . arriving in time for the graduation of the Ham ilton' other daughter. Norma, from Salem high school on June 4 . . . Both girls plan to attend the University of Oregon in the fall . . . Flying east ... on Monday will be Mr. and Mrs. Ted need . . . they will take delivery on a new car . In Lansing, Michigan, and then enjoy a leisurely drive across country Enroute they will stop at the Broadmoor hotel in Colo rado Springs for a two day so journ ... Returning- . . . east by plane on Tuesday will be Mrs. John Arthur Miller and son, Tommy, who have been in the capital the past month from their home in Columbus, Ohio, visiting with Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred B. Moxley ... This weekend she is in Eugene visiting with friends . . . The travelers will meet Mr. Miller in Detroit, Mich., where he has been attending school, and from there will drive to their home in Columbus ... South bound . . . Sally Barr and Joan Voigt left by car Sunday morning for a ten day stay in San Francisco and Carmel ... Expected home ... on Friday will be Mrs. Haxel Downing Goodman, who is returning; from . a six months world tour ... She - left here in December for New "York and returned to the east ern city several, weeks ago ... She has been v i a it I n g with friends and enjoying tours of Long Island and taking in many of the stage shows ... Mrs. Goodman was delighted with England and remained two weeks longer In London, returning- to the states on the Queen Elizabeth . . . Other highlights of her trip were Paris, Rome and the Holy Land . . . While Mrs. Goodman has been away her North Church street home lias been occupied by Mrs. Ray mond Walsh ... A WEDDING ... of interest to the bride's many Salem friends is the announcement being made today by Mrs. A. F. Marcus of the marriage of her daughter, Mrs. Mabel E. Cooley, to Robert W. Prentiss of Portland, which was quietly solemnized on Saturday, May 19 . . . After a short trip along the Oregon coast the couple will be at home in Salem at 2270 Center street ... The last meeting- until fall was held by the Auburn Mothers club at the school house Thursday night. New officers elected were: presi dent, Mrs. Dale Olson; vice pres ident. Mrs. Cornelius Feskens, and secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Lloyd Maas.
