Testimony in the closing day was mostly on minor issues among the 15 proposed amendments to the "hop marketing agreement. In the previous two days there had been testimony on two controver sial Issues: Whether to give the hop control board ' more control over surplus hops, and whether to change-the growers - privilege of diverting surplus bops. , Win Rogers, San Francisco, hearing examiner for the depart ment of agriculture, set April 23 as the deadline for filing briefs on the proposed amendments. Later, agriculture officials in Washing ton. D.
