Lockheed are vacationing in Vancouver, BXL for a few days, planning to return the end of the week. Their daugh ter; Gail, left Monday for Los An geles to visit with relatives until school opens. Mrs. Clifton Mudd is home from a trip south to San - Francisco, ' where she visited with her son and daughter-in-law, the William Mudds. . - Mrs. Charles Huggins and daughter, Suzanne, and son, Charles, have returned from Nes kowin. where they have been va cationing at' their beach home ' since June. The family plans to return to Neskowin for the Labor Day weekend. - Keturn From Montana Mrs. Sadie Moritz and her sister, Mrs. Minnie Schoeneman, are borne from a trip to Butte, Mon tana, where they visited the tetter's son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Massey, who formerly lived in Woodburn. While there the visitors took trips to Glacier Rational Park, Flathead Lake, Vir ginia City, the old gold mining town, and Lewis and Clark Cav ern. It was while coming home - from the Cavern that the travelers saw a -beautiful ' display of the northern lights. Mrs. Moritz has ' had as her house guests, since ar riving home Mrs. Neomi Hinque of Los Angeles and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fickle of Long Beach, Calif. Earlier in the summer Mrs. Schoeneman visited in Seattle for six weeks with her daughter and family. She carried bouquet of white carna tions and bouvardia adorning a white prayer book, and was given in marriage by her stepfather, Mr. Thornnm. - - ? Maid of honor , was Margaret Versteeg, who wore an ice blue satin dress with white accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. John Silver of Willamina was best man for his cousin. A reception was held at the Thornhill home following the cer emony, with the Mrs. Lyle Hurless, aunt of the bride cutting the wed ding cake, and Miss Pearl Crocker, sister of the groom, assisting. For her wedding trip the bride donned a navy blue ensemble with white accessories. They are now making their home In Sheri dan. Mrs. Crocker graduated with the senior class of the McMlnn ville high school In 1949 and at tended Llnfleld college the past year. . Publisher's Son Takes Bride SCIO The Baptist church was the scene for the wedding of Miss Emajean Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Miller, and Nor man Emu uayward, son or Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Hayward. Mr. Hay- ward Is publisher of the Scio Tri bune. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. Ross Evans of Sweet Home, which took place Saturday evening at a pjn. Lighting the . tapers were Miss Ima Jo Summers and Miss Nancy Hildreth. Soloist was Miss Joyce Van Meter, cousin of the bride, accompanied by Miss Wave Darby of Salem. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white slipper satin dress fashioned in the prin cess style, with net yoke and ber tha collar and a court train. A crown of seed pearls held her fingertip veil and she carried a white Bible topped with an orchid. The honor attendant was the bride's sister, Mrs. George PowelL of Monroe. She wore a rose color ed - taffeta gown and carried white heart-shaped nosegay and wore a matching headpiece. Miss Shirley Hayward, sister of the groom. Miss Gwendolyn Ma son, were the bridesmaids. The former wore a lavender taffeta gown and carried a green nosegay and Miss. Mason wore yellow. Junior attendants were nieces of the bride, Carolee and Sharon Ann Powell and ring bearer was nephew, Walter PowelL Best man was William Durham, of Albany, and seating the guests were Kenneth Durham and Rob ert Hoover of Albany. Mrs. Miller chose for her daugh ter's wedding a gold colored crepe dress with brown accessories and wore a corsage of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Hayward wore a rose colored dress with white accessories and here corsage was of white rose buds. Following the ceremony the re ception was held in the church parlors.
