Spaeter, Goldstein Give 'Em New Life i Neither Bill Spaeter or Bob Goldstein have yet amounted to much as "hitters for the Senators, and' little wonder after the barrage of lefties they ran into their first week with the club. But did you notice the new dash and fire the pair instilled in the team? Both are hustlers from the word go the type of player the customer likes to watch at work. Goldstein already has amounted to one of the best hnUer mivs in the Iood. His high-pitched and melodious shouts of encouragement to the working pitchers can be heard all over the park and reveal the fact that the husky first baseman is in the ball game ' with every pitch. .; , ! The Clubmen have a 10 record to 9-2 for the Wools. 7 ' Bases on balls, errors and a three-run fifth inning won the game for the Clubbers. Starting Businessman Pitcher Jones was extremely wild and had to be re placed by Leon Mickenham early. The two gave only six hits, but the walks and boots behind them were costly. ' ' Meanwhile Jim Rawlins was being-touched for four hits, and his support in the infield was decid y poor. Rawlins, Shifty Sheldon and Bugs Lindstrom were the bat ting attack leaders for the win ners. Industrial league battles saw the Papermill down Post Office Clerks in a ' makeup -clash 6-4 and the Hallmark Cards romp over Naval Reserve 7-1.
