In a decisive rally from a spec tacular two-day slump, leading is sues advanced fractions to around $4 a share. ! The market absorbed a good sized dose of selling on the way up but on the whole performed cre ditably. Fast trading developed although turnover was only about half of yesterday's sir tush market. Sales New Variety Sale Plaits Being Made Directors of the Marlon County Dairy Breeders association bava announced plans for a September sals of heifers from artificial breeding. ' Dairymen from Marion and Clackamas county are served by the association located in Sil- verton and will be the conginers of sale animals. George Kruse of Mt Angel !s chairman of the sale committee. All animals in the sale will bo . from the Oregon dairy breeders bulls that aro registered and production tested. A high percentage of the entries will also be from tested dams. Vernon Hepler, Canby, presi dent of the Marion county associa tion, expects about 40 calves to be consigned from the Jersey, Guern sey and Holstein breeds. Bill Wil liams and Paul Mann of Silverton are association technicians and can be contacted about sale plans. JERSEY SALE PLANNED Oregon Jersey Cattle Breeders aftcnriatinn directors, meetinff in Salem Wednesday night, planned a consignment sale lor Maineur county for August 12. Most of the 30 heifers and three bulls to be sold at this sale will come from the valley and the coast. Demand for Jerseys east of the Cascades is reported good. Proceeds from the tale 'go toward a Jersey fieldman program for Oregon.
