The tenant house burned down about two weeks ago. ' ' SUtetmaa Nwi Srrte SWEET HOME Petitions are being circulated and signed by Sweet Home residents to be pre- sented to the county court asking for construction oi a bridge across Miller, -M. M. GUmour, W. M. Tate. Ernest speed, W. J. Lens man, Donald Jaquet and Bruce, J. C. Krenz, Alec Doerfler, Verny Scott Walter McElhaney and Terry, and the hostess, Mrs. Mc Elhaney. the South Santiam at the north end of 18th avenue in Sweet Home. The new bridge, if built would accommodate several hundred people who reside on the north side of the river where more than 100 new houses have been built within the past five years. It is three miles between the present Sweet Home bridge and the Foster bridge. The new bridge, if built as requested, would be midway between these two.
