By BlriaW Bully ec ABOUND THE COKXEK There might be room for a desk and a big one just around the corner. Is there a do-nothing corner in the house? Perhaps not In the living room, but In a bed room, the sun room or even In the dining room where little used space is most likely to be. There may be room enough there for a desk that is big enough for an ex ecutive if the wall Is used on both aides of the corner, like this. A two-way spread of desk top Is very handy, and you can custom make it by sweeping a plywood top piece over two chests. The chests can be drawer units, or a drawer and a door unit, and they might be either new ready-to-paint pieces or old chests of the right height Finish the desk top with an extra, coat of special damage resistant varnish, or cov er it with a good looking heavy plastic by-the-yard. You take, off the old doors, attach new frames to the old shelves and have accom pushed a bright face lifting job. It is a perma net magnet attached to the cabi net shelf with a small steel plate on the door. The magnet holds the door closed upon contact with the steel plate leaving nothing to get stuck or out of order. For space saving Jo a small apartment or home, the new aluminum roll-up kitchen door eliminates the need for a swing area.
