'.i fin ii I . ; '-, . Federal Con Escapes from McNeil Island McNEIL ISLAND, Wash., Nov. 24 -UP)- Federal prison officials aid Wednesday they believed an escaped 55-year-old bank robber may have made his way across the treacherous mile-wide chan nel which separates this island prison from the mainland. A thorough search of the Island's brush-covered 4,400 acres have failed to reveal any trace of the missing prisoner, Henry Clay Tollett. who has been missing since the noon checkup Tuesday. His home is In Ada, Ukla. Federal bureau of investigation officials, however, said that there had been no intensification of a mainland search for the missing man. The density of the island un dergrowth would make it possible tot the prisoner to escape detec tion for days. Prison officials theorized that hunger and cold might drive him out within a few days if he remained on the island. Tollett was convicted of bank robbery and assault with a dan gerous weapon in Portland, Ore., in 1948. He has served four terms in the Oklahoma state peniten tiary for robbery, larceny and auto theft ,' liberty Fur Farmers Ship Pelts to Market tatesraaa Tfcws ferric LIBERTY The rapidly grow ing mink breeding Industry in this community wilj hit its peak this week when several thousand pelts will be sent to 'market The Mountain View Fur farm will pelt about l.OWNmink; the Whelan Fur farm, 150 and the Stacey Fuir farm about 1,100.
