ANGEL A two-night home talent show, for the benefit of a community emergency fund is be ing sponsored by the local Knights of Columbus and Catholic Daugh ters and will be presented in the Bt. Mary's auditorium Saturday nd Sunday nights, October 1 and I. Mrs. Vera F. Meyers of the Em pire Players of Kansas City, Mo., Is directing the production and a large group of Mt. Angel citizens, from the mayor on down, will form the cast. The entertainment promises to be an hilarious affair that will provide a great many laughs in addition to discovering local talent. A baby show is being held in conjunction with the play. RALLY DAY SUNDAY JEFFERSON Rally day will be observed at Talbot Community church Sunday" with the Sunday school presenting a program. At 3 o'clock a special anniversary serv ice will be held observing the first anniversary of the dedication of the Talbot church. The Rev. Gor don Jaffe of Albany will be guest speaker, and a male quartet from Salem will provide special music. The public is invited.
