Wheat and oas .were strong, but soybeans were weak. .-, . i All September , contracts were nervous today, the last day of trading in those deliveries. After the close today, outstanding con ti cts must be settled by delivery of the actual grain. At the open ing today, there were about 9,823 000 bushels in Incompleted Sep tember eoni contracts. Wheat closed to 1 higher. September $2.10H-$2.11, corn was . lk down to up, September $L23$12. oats were to 1 up, September 67-8, rye was Vb lower to V. higher, September $1.40, soybeans were down 1 Vi to 2 cents, November $2.23-Vt, and lard was t to 23 cents a hundred pounds lower, September $11.00. Yank Missing In Poland, One Also in Jail WARSAW, Sept. 22 -(ff). One American was missing and an other was in jail in Poland to night. There was no , apparent connection between the cases. The missing man was Hermans H. "Field of Cleveland, Ohio, an architect who arrived in Poland few weeks ago.: Be was last seen August 27 at the Warsaw airport, where he was to take a plane to Prague. He has not been seen or beard from since. The American to jail was Ana tole Berton, described by the VS. embassy as a New York furrier. He is charged with bribing a director, of a state enterprise last year. He was arrested on his ar rival in Poland August 8. The United States devotes 1, 141,619,000 acres of its. land to farming.
