Shrine Meeting 'On Monday t Willamette shrine, White Shrine c( Jerusalem met Monday night at Masonic temple with Mrs. Wil bur Plntler, worthy high priest ess and Stanley Brown, watchman ef shepherds, presiding. Mrs. Pearl Speer, supreme deputy, Salem, and Miss Catherine Blood worthy high priestess of Portland were intro duced. Mrs. Ida Hinshaw and Mrs. Lucille Lansing of Eugene were guests. A short program followed the .netting, pefreshmenta were served, by Mrs. Dan .Roth, Miss Edith Wilkinson, Mrs. Hollis Hall, Mrs. Bessie Sutton, Mr. and Mrs. Dorr M. Shreve, Mrs., Lawrence Carman and Mrs. Jay Palmer. Civic Players Hold Initiation The Salem Civic players served covered dish dinner and had Initiation on Sunday at the May Cower hall, Mrs. James Lucas and Mrs. Nathan Steinbock arranged the dinner. New members initia ted were Miss Velma Davis, Mrs. Charles Hill, James Simpson, George Hall and LeRoy Kreuger The new members entertained with a program following the din Tier, and the evening was conolud d with dancing. Visiting Peter Campbell on Sun day were his mother, Mrs. L. B. Campbell of Seattle and his bro ther Chet Campbell of. Eugene. His mother had flown to Eugene on Saturday and then she and her son drove to Detroit Sunday. Mrs. Guy Wilson returned Sun day from a two-week visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. O. R. Dawson at McCune, Kan. Mr. and Mrs. J. Cal Schlador had as their house guests over the week end Mr. and Mrs. Vera Briggs, her nephew and wife of Roseburg. The four went to Pauli na lake on a fishing trip and re port having good luck. Richard Cannon who was hurt in an accident Saturday evening is lo oe dismissed from Bend hos pital today. Boesch. manager-owner of the Monitor lum ber yard has returned to his home following treatment '; at the Sil verton hospital. Boesch was in jured when a pile of plywood slipped and fell on him as he was removing a sheet from the pile. Boesch is a former resident of Silverton and served on the city council for a number of years before moving to Monitor to make his home.
