12 Th Stat man, SaUm, Oregon. Thurtday. Juno 16, 1949 Rally Boosts Grain Prices CHICAGO, June 15 -AJTh A brisk rally In the latter part of the session left (fains with fair sized j advances on the board of trade today. Wheat got most of the demand with the December and March deliveries scoring widest gains. Wheat ended m-2i higher, corn was .- higher, oats were Hi higher, rye was Vi-tt high er, soybeans were 2'4-3i higher and lard was 3 to 10 cents hun dred pounds higher. .Much Interest was attacnea xo a trade report from Northwestern Oklahoma, where harvesting is now in full swing, that yields were running only 10 to 20 bushels to an acre compared with a pre harvest estitaate of 25 to 30 bush- This news supported pessimistic reports concerning the damage which recent heavy rains have done to the southwest's wheat crop.
