Friscli Holds Strategy Meet No Immediate Changes Due on Chicago Nine CHICAGO, June n-iP-Frankie frisch held a strategy meetin to day aboard the train which whisk ed him to hi home debut as new manager of the Chicago Cuba against the Philadelphia Phils to morrow. Frisxh, accompanying the Cubs on the long overnight rail ride from Boston, was closeted in a drawing room much of the way with the man he succeeded a j field boss. Charley Grimm, and Richard (Red) Smith, scout and i trading ambassador. But it appeared unlikely there would be any immediate lineup i changes r the club whose reins, Grimm surrendered ki a surpris ing Bruin -reorganisation which i kicked Grimm upstairs to vice president. In the huddle, it was believed Grimm and Smith brief ed Kris h on the talent, or lack of It. he inherited from Grimm. If the triumvirate came up with an ideas of landing a new long ball hitter, or two a want Frisch already has expressed the Cuba must art quickly. The major leaf ue trad in deadline expires at midnight Wednesday. - Frisch today nominated Bob Muncrief. recently acquired from the Pittsburgh- Pirates, as his starting pitcher against the Phils. "I'm not planning any lineup changes for a game or two. until I've had a chance to meet the boy." he said. Frist h said he hopes he has the makings of a five-man starting muund staff among Emil (Dutch) Leonard (with whom he toured European battlefields with a UJS.O. baseball troupe); Johnny Schmitz, Walt Dubiel.
