The Coast leafue leading San Diego Padres got a split in their eloubleheader with the Seattle Ralniers at Seattle Thursday night, los ing the opener, 8-3, byt winning the nightcap, 4-2. In other Thurs day night games the Oakland Oaks trimmed Hollywood, 8-3, and Los Aheeles downed San Francisco 7 ft. The Portland-Sacramento game at Portland was rained out. The Beavers swing to Seattle Friday night to open a series with the Rainier for the balance of the week. Herb Karpel downed the Padres with a six-hitter in the opening game at Seattle. But At Jurisich returned the six-hit compliment in the second game to hand Charley Schanz his first loss of the season. Schanz had won his first four in a row. Citation and Coaltown Named To Romp in California Race INGLE WOOD, Calif., April 21-(p-Citation and his challenging stablemate, Coaltown, headed 87 nominations announced today for the $100,000 Hollywood Gold Cup at Hollywood Park July 16. Whether Warren will bring one or both of his thoroughbred stars to Hollywood park remains to be seen, but a track official said: "We have hopes. Su pervisor Ralph Kay said 35,000 legal-size yearling trout are being liberated this month, and about the same number will be freed in May.
