fit sponsored by the Band Par
ents' association Friday, April 22,
at 8 p. m.
Acts from Mt. Angel, Woodburn,
Monitor, Salem, Portland and
other communities will be given.
The numbers run the gamut from
comedy, through oldtime fiddlers
and symphonic violin renditions to
a mixed chorus of 60 voices and
a family orchestra. There will al
so be dancers from Armstrong
school of dancing and from Salem
high school. Jack Spong, Salem
magician, and an Indian costume
act from Cub pack 52.

each $2S and costs and a 30-day
suspended jail sentence on charges
of vagrancy.
Lawrence Fields was fined $29
and given a five-day jail sentence
on a charge of contempt of court.
According to the complaint Fields
failed to appear as a witness after
being served with a subpoena. A
similar charge against the defend
ant's wife was taken under advise
ment by Judge Nelson.

next year's senior class presidency during a junior
class nomination assembly Wednesday.
Elections will be held April 29 and $0, the same
date as sophomore class members elect their class
officers for next year. The sophomores will meet
this morning to nominate candidates.

are working on a project which
will change their home economics
classroom into a typical living
room. The girls are making drapes
and slip covers to be used with a
sofa and chair set given them by
the Sears, Roebuck's Foundation
fund. Plans are to have at least
part of the project completed by
May 6, date for a Mothers' tea.
