LtGus) Burbank are visiting their fiiece, Mrs. Leon ard Anderson (Ellen: Johnson), in Hollywood. i Plans Laid for Day jOf Columbiantsm At Stayton May 8 SUBLIMITY At the regular monthly meeting of the Knights of Columbus Tuesday, the Rev. Father Gabriel of Mt. Angel col lege gave a talk on the life of St. Patrick. Plans were made for a full day of Columbianism, an event in Stayton on Sunday, May 8, at which time there will be a com munion breakfast following the 7:30 mass, honoring the mothers of the members of the . Knights of Columbus. There also will be an initiation of a large i class of new members for the local council, con cluded with a buffet luncheon. The day's program will be un der the direction of Grand Knight Vincent Mertz. The clubs' project for the Spring festival will be registration, in charge of Mrs. Charles Krauger, Mrs. Don Griffith, Mrs. Harry Knepper, Mrs. Lyle Bayne, Mrs. E. L. Grey, Mrs. Ray Crittendon, Mrs. Orville Raymond, Mrs. Wayne Blaco, Mrs. Emil Drees. Mrs. Wilbert Kurth, Mrs. Fred Browning, Mrs. Louis Kurth and Mrs. Ernest Free. Mrs. W. J. Spokane Visitor At Turner Home TURNER Mrs. Birdie DeLay of Spokane, attended funeral ser vices of her sister. Mrs. Mary Turner in Salem Tuesday. She will remain for several days with her daughter. Eour.ornersH Folk Travel For Reunion FOUR CORNERS The Roy Thayer family and Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Snook drove to Springfield Sunday to the Walter Snook home. A sister of the Snook brothers, Mrs. Emma Lee of Chico, Calif., was there. This is the first time in 20 years that the brothers and sisters have all been together. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Chrisman. 410 S. A guest was Mrs. Ruth Sny der who is spending her spring vacation from her college work in Portland at the home of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Snyder, Plans were made for the club' part in the Community club pro gram and a covered dish dinner for the members' families in May. The second dress work shop was held Tuesday at the Robert Fromra home on Silverton road. The last of the dress work shop meetings will be held Thursday, March 24 at the Fromm home. Reports on results of chest X-ray visits were made. Mrs. Ethel Palmer, executive secretary, Yamhill County Public Health association, sent word that there were 114 cases in the county that would need further examinations, out of over 2,000 X-rayed.
