A bill to boost salaries of Polk
county officials around 20 per
cent for the next two years was

the judge would receive $3,600 a
year; treasurer, $2,400; clerk,
$3,000; sheriff, $3,300; assessor
and school superintendent, $2,700,
and commissioners $8.50 a day.
