Stock Market Holds Even NEW YORK, Feb. 3 -vff-Buy ers and sellers of stocks didn't have much difference of opinion in today's market. Price changes were mainly frac tional with sains and losses in close balance. A handful of stocks which usually pay minor roles In the trading scene stepped into comparative prominence as a re sult of news directly affecting them. Turnover was the fastest for the week thus far but ii was still alow enough for some brokers to haul out the red ink. The Associated Press average of 0. stocks dipped .1 of one point to 65.4, the first average loss af ter two successive gains. Of the 71 Issue which traded, 388 de clined and 326 advanced. Columbia Broa casting issues showed a comparatively severe decline. The "A" stock lost 2 t 19 and the B" was down 1 at 18 following word that di rectors had cut the quarterly di vidend to 35 cents a share from half a dollar. Corn Price at Seasonal Low CHICAGO, Feb. 3 -JPt- The grain market gave a mixed per formance today, wheat moving ahead for good gains while corn weakened to new seasonal lows. Price .changes in other commodi ties were not important. Gains in wheat extended to more than 2 cents and some buy ing was traced to mills, indicat ing a little pick - up in domestic f export flour business. Wheat closed l-2 higher, corn was l-2 lower, oats were lower to higher, rye was 1 lower, soybeans were lower to 1 higher and lard was S to 13 cents a hundred pounds lower.
