Soybeans and lard also ended with gains. Turnover was light and brokers said the market appeared to be entefing its usual holiday dull season. They added that outside interest had fallen this week, leaving dealings largely in the hands of local traders and com mercial Interests. Wheat closed ' lower to higher, corn was lower to li higher, oats were 38-34 higher, rye was 'i-li-4 higher, soybeans were l4-l4 higher and lard was 30 to 50 cents a hundred pounds higher. One reason for the steady tone in the bread cereal was a slump in receipts of cash grain. Lebanon Armory To Be Built LEBANON Authorization to re- ceive $65,000 of federal funds for construction of an armory for the Lebanon national guard unit next year was received by the local guard unit this week. Specifications and the contract for the building must be in the hands of a contractor by June 1. The building location is yet un known. The price range of the market generally was unusually ' narrow. A few half-hearted attempts to get ahead died out from sheer in ertia and selling pressure never built up to any respectable size. The result was a wide range of fractional changes and an almost exact division between gains and losses. Trading was moderately active with turnover of 1,010.000 shares, J even with Thursday. Curb volume of 280.000 shares compared with 230.000 Thursday. The Associated Press average of 60 stocks advanced .1 of one point to 64.1, the first gain in a week. Of the 1.058 stocks which changed hands. 389 advanced and 377 declined.
