Keizer School Schedules Two Shift Yule Program KEIZER, Dec. 16 Keizer school, which last year found it necessary to operate on a two shift basis for pupils and teachers, now has suf ficient class rooms but with an enrollment of 522 has too many parents lor a one shift Christmas school program. So the Christmas program will be presented in two shifts, Monday and Tuesday nights at the school auditorium. For the most part two complete sets of children will present the program Ralph Nelson, school principal, said. However the orchestra and chorus and a few special numbers will be given by the same person at each show. Insofar as possible the casts have been selected along "family lines," Nelson said. Mrs. Hazel Patterson is the pianist and Harold Smedley is the director. Three narrators will take care of that feature each night, the same acting at both performances. Mrs. Elizabeth Folston is directing this. Clarence Miller and Larry Cummings will take the part of Joseph on successive nights. Mrs. Preissler will direct this feature. Orchestra on Both Nights Mrs. Christine Mehner and Mrs. lone McMacNamara are directing the wisemen who will be on alter nate shifts. Taking these parts are Clifford Estes, Deloss Friesen, La Zane Shannon, Ray Martin, Arnold Pederseon and Allan Couper. Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Ethel Murphy are directing the carolers who come from the third grades and will also.be on alternate shifts. Mrs- Zanana Means and Mrs. Ai leen Begin are directig the nativity scene in which primary pupils from first and second grades will take part, Mac Baker will sing "O Holy Night" at both programs. A 17-piece orchestra and the chorus are drawn from the five upper grades. These will take part in both programs. Others aiding with the program therine Schmidt. Mrs. Dale Clark. Mrs. Nancy Peed. Library Missionary Society Has Meeting LIBERTY The Missionary society of the Liberty Church of Christ met Wednesday at Mrs. Charles Moore's. Mrs. Gene Bloom assisted. Plans were mode for charitable work in the com munity, and distribution of the packages in white for the needy families. Silverton Election of officers and reception of new members will be held by the junior cham ber of commerce Friday night, December 17 at the Washington Irving building. Central Howell Philip, old est of the three small sons of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rienschle, has had rheumatic fever and is being cared for at the home of Mrs. Eiensche's mother, Mrs. Elvin Herr. He was hospitalized for a time. Middle Grove Community elub Christmas program for the school children will be given Fri day, December 17 at 8 p.m. Treats will be provided but no refresh ments will be served this month.
