HUKUI Math Teachers To Convene in Salem Dec. 4 Mathematics teachera from all Darts of the state will meet in Sa lem Saturday, December 4, for the fwrmai conference of the Oregon Council of Teachers of Mathema tics. Beryl Holt, head of Salem Tea chers of Mathematics, will pre side over the sessions at Lausanne hall on Willamette university's campus. General theme of the program will be "The Challenge to Teachers of Mathematics." - This year's conference will be the first ever held in Salem and ) will give many teachers of the mid-Willamette valley an oppor tunity to attend for the first time. Dr. Frank B. Bennett, superin tendent of 'Salem public schools, will address the group, discussing The Responsibility in School Curriculum.' Other speakers scheduled to appear are Dr. George D. Martin and Dr. Ches ter F. Luther. Leila Johnson, Salem, Is presi dent of the Oregon Council; Ann Boentje, Salem, corresponding secretary, and Mrs. Kenneth Legg, tortland, treasurer.
