Allen celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a reception at the Salem Woman's clubhouse on Sunday, October 31. The rouph-V. marriage took place at Lostinc, Oregon on November 2, 1898. Mr. Allen, the eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. VV. H. Allen, was born in Kansas in 1874 and cross ed the plains in a covered waggon with his parents at the age of five.
