October 13, 1843 I SOCIETY CLUBS - MUSIC Art Patrons iWillHear Littman Frederick Littman of Portland, rationally known sculptor and hear of the sculpture department of the Portland museum art school, will be the speaker on opening tiight of the Salem Art associa tion's first art show on October! 25. The show of northwest artists' work will be placed in Elfstrom's gilleries, and will open with the night showing, lecture, and tea. Littman, well known as a lec turer, has had several commis sions throughout the United States and in Europe. He is best known In Salem for his sculpture on the First National Bank building. Luncheons Are Slated Entertaining centers around several informal luncheon parties this week. Mrs. Edwin Keech has invited eight of her friends to luncheon this afternoon at her Momingside home. The afternoon will be spent informally and autumn flowers - will provide the decorative note. Mrs. P. H. Schnell will preside at a one o'clock luncheon on Fri &ty afternoon at her East Hoyt street home. Bridge will be in pUy following the luncheon hour. Many will remain for the week end, with several large post-game parties arranged by Portland hosts for the occasion.
