Boston S pence walked on five pitches. Goodman looked at a third srike and Spence was doubled up try ing to steal second. Hegan to Bou dreau. Tebbetts singled sharply in the hole between third and short. Gale house walked on four pitches. Bob Feller and Bob Lemon, the Indians' righthanded aces, began warming up in the Cleveland bullpen.
