The public is invited to hear her, and those wishing to attend the luncheon are asked to make reservations. Mrs. Stewart, an ordained Methodist minister, has been speaking at the WCTU convention in Portland, following a recent European tour. She is reportedly the only woman who has ever given the opening prayer for a session of congress. Jail Break Expert Sentenced to Year In Penitentiary Roy Junior Robinson, pegged by Club to Hear Rev. Anderson The Rev. V. F. Anderson, feat ured in radio religious programs, will speak Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Kingwood Bible church. West Sa lem, at a public meeting of the Salem Child Evangelism fellow ship. Resentencing of Lebanon Man Set Ray Barclay, Lebanon, senten ced to two two-month terms in the state penitentiary in Marion coun ty circuit court last week on forg ery charges, will be returned to the same court Monday for resen tencing. Since Barclay was taken to pri son Sheriff Denver Young discov ered he is wanted in Linn county on charges of passing worthless police as a jail break expert, was checks. The additional charge will sentenced to 12 months in Oregon j be taken into consideration in the state penitentiary Saturday In i resentencing proceeaings. Marion county circuit court. Robinson will return to the same prison from which he escaped on Aug. 14, 1946, while serving a year's sentence for robbery. He was captured a few months later in Wisconsin, but broke out of Jail there while being held for Marion county authorities. For the break - out Robinson was sentenced to 20 months in the Wisconsin state prison. On his re lease be was Immediately taken into custody by sheriffs and re turned here. The court ruled Sat urday ho must begin his old sen tence over again. 3 Industrial Fatalities Reported to Commission Three fatalities, 1,374 covered accidents and 20 claims for occu pational disease benefits, were reported to the state Industrial accident commission during the week ended September 23. Salem traffic claimed two lives In the period, compared with three the year before. Neither Bend nor Klamath Falls reported a single fatality during the period, and matched an equal ly spotless record established during the first half of 1947. Death-free at the midyear of 1947, Eugene, Medford and As toria were charged with a total of four fatalities as of last Juno 30. Detailed summaries of the traf fic accident experience for each of the six cities are now being printed, Newbry said. Oregon cities In the 8,000 to 10,000 class reported a total of six deaths against seven for the previous year. Most notable reduction was scored in Portland, where deaths decreased from 33 to 18 for a drop of 45 per cent.
