Marion Forks May Phillips Is living at Marion Forks, fter her visit in Yakima. , Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Chad wick and daughter of Beaverton, spent Sunday with the Youngs. Mrs. George Streff and son Mike made a business trip to Redmond Saturday with Bob Jones, Mrs. F. Holmes of Bend has been at the Scott Youngs this week. Mrs. Florence Felt of Port land, sister of Scott Young, spent her vacation here. Dorothy Mor gan and Mrs. Felt made a trip to Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Smith went to Dallas, Ore., returning with their trailer house. Leonard Wiley of Portland spent several days at Marion Forks lodge recently. Mr. and Mrs. WiHard Simpson and daughters, Jo Ann and Mari lynn .have been here the past week -at their summer home on Marion Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Mays and family of Sweet Home visited friends at Marlon Forks this week. Mr. and Mrs. John Delaire, J. Mc In tyre and son Jahn spent Sunday here. Mr. and Mrs. A. Thomas of Neatsu spent the week end with the Walter Balls and made a fishing trip to Lake Ann where 11 caught the limit. New Confectionary To Be Constructed SILVERTON, Aug. 25 Con struction will start at once on a pumice block building on Oak street property of the Reber Al lans and the Roscoe Ames, Olum Larson contractor. ' The building will tx occupied by Tofte and McDonald as con fectionary and soft drink parlor. The two are former owners of the Oak street grocery which was purchased recently by Ira Mc Donald, a brother of the former owner.
