A watch of similar description-was offered for sale at the Temple cafe by an unidentified man about 35 years old. He was described as being tall, slender and wearing a brown shirt and brown coat with elbows out. He was re ported seen also in vicinity of the apartment house about the time of the theft. Rigdon chapel for Mrs. Parthenia Linnie Murphy Morris, 82, native-born resident of Marion county, for much of her life-time. Mrs. Morris died Wednesday 'in Portland. Interment will be in Murphy cemetery. She was born in Silverton Aug ust 5, 1866, a year after her par ents, George and Melissa DeSart, had crossed the plains from Illi nois. In 1888 she was married to John E. Murphy, operator of the Salem Tile factory for many years. Ten children were born to the couple, nine of whom sur vive. Mr. Murphy died in 1923 and she later married William H. Morris, who died in 1943. Surviving are the nine children, Sylvia Chandler and Florence Reber . Murphy, St. Helens; Ivan Murphy, Bend; Nina O'Reilly, Portland: Musa Winters, Long view, Wash.; Sarah Thomas, Coos Bay; Lois McClurg, Quilli cine, Wash.; Claudine Cox. Cum mings. The program was started sev eral years ago at Englewood playground by Mrs. Caroline Black, who is still supervisor there. Children at that school made 125 -hobby horses this year, of which 56 were entered Fri day. Other grounds averaged about 40 entries each.
