Weese. and Carl Parkhurst, on of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. Park- hunt, Will exchange their mar ri.fe vows. The wedding will take place at the First Christian church with the Rev. Dudley Strain of ficiating. Peter Larson will sing and Lois Flu miner Schmidt will be the organist. - Miss Lois Whit ney and Miss Gladys Schollen, In blue taffeta dresses, will light the tapers before the bridal party enters. .... Of whita satin is the bridal gown, fashioned with a sweet . heart neckline, long sleeves, pan ier effect at the aides, a bustle nd a full skirt terminating in a train. An orange blossom coronet will hold in place her fingertip length tulle veil and she will carry a white Bible topped by a white orchid. Miss Wilma Hoy of Portland will be til honor maid and will wear a blue, sheer frock and carry a nosegay of roses, daisies and sweet peas. Bridesmaids will be Miss Ruby Strand snd Miss Lu cille Proctor, who will be gowned kt pink sheer dresses and carry nastel noseeavs. James Earl Phipps will stand with the groom as best man and seating the guests will be How rd Weese, .David Laurence and William Gabelman. Mrs. Weese will wear a pink Jersey print gown for the wed ding and Mrs. Parkhurst's gown Is of grey crepe. Their corsages are of gardenias and stephanot's. A reception will follow in the shurch parlors. Assisting will be Mrs. Charles Snyder, the bride's unt, Mrs. Bernard Koehler, Mrs. Harry Martin. Mrs. Orville Har old, Mrs. Charles Rogers and Mrs. J. C. Jones. The couple will go to the Ore gon coast on their honeymoon and lor going away the bride will wear a Kelly green gabardine s it with- white hat and acces sories. Pinned to her suit will be white orchid. Mr Parkhurst and his bride will tive in Salem. Yamhill Women Have Picnic AMITY The Yamhill County Federation of Women's clubs held It annual picnic at Lafayette Locks park July 8. Mrs. L. R. Alderman, president, Mrs. A. J. French, Dayton, and Mrs. A. W. Newby gave brief reports on the Eneral federation meeting held 1 Portlafid., Mrs. H. W. Torbet gave a report from the State Gar den club convention held at Gear hart in June. Mrs. Alderman will represent the county federation at the state Federation of Wom an's clubs conference early In September at North Band. Mr. Weasel, a student of Josef Lneviirao Id piano and of Arnold Scboenberg i in composition, is known widely both in this country and abroad ms a performer and composer.
