Mrs. Booth will also at tend the Delta Gamma national convention at Swampscott, Mass., the end of June. HOME AGAIN ... are Mrs. Prince W. Byrd and daughter, Bet ty, who have been away for two months . . . first going to New Or Irani and other states in the deep south viewing the lovely gardens and historic sites . . . . Interesting note . . . When leav ing in March the daffodils and forsythia were just blooming and seemingly the Salem travelers fol lowed the blooms right across the country, aa when arriving on the east coast the flowers were just blooming . . . but in the south the azaleas- were in bloom and on arriving back in Salem this week they found our azaleas just out . . . The Boost fascinating and in teresting aart of the entire trip to Mrs. Byrd was Quebec, and its resemblance- to parts of Europe. Mrs. Willard N. Thompson and daughter, Karen, are expected to arrive home today from a three weeks stay in Mauston, Wisconsin, where they have been visiting her parents . . . Mrs. James Heltzel will be home this week from an extended stay in Denver, where she has been visiting her son-in-law and daugh ter, Bruce and Margaret Hamby . . . Bruce, formerly on the Ore gonian sports staff, is now on the staff of the Denver Post . . . OFF TO IXSOPE ... in June will be Mrs. Byron Herrick. who sails on the 24th on the "Queen Mary" for England and the con tinent . . . She leaves Salem on June 15 for Van Nuys, Calif., to join a conducted tour by car, which will go cross-country to New York . . . Mrs. Herricks' companion on the trip will be an old Salem school friend, MtBs Min et Sherman of Claremont, Calif., When the "Queen Mary" docks at South Hampton, England, the tra velers will then proceed by car to Scotland, then down the east coast to London . . . then by ship again acroas the channel to Hol land . . . motoring through Bel gium, Switzerland, Italy, France, leaving for the states from Cher bourg . . . and arriving here omeiime. Weinstein, chairman of the sale. The cookies come in attractive Girl Scout boxes and the girls are taking orders from neighbors and friends. Half of the money raised from the cookie sale will go to the Ju liet Low fund, the founder of Girl Scouts. This money has in the past been used to send delegates to the National Girl Scout conven tions, held in all parts of the world. Since the war the Juliet Low fund has been used to help Girl Scouts get started again in the war torn countries, and to re build their equipment The other half of the money raised by the cookie sale will be used by the Brownie and Girl Scout troops In Salem for their own activities. WCTU Hospitality Tea on Tuesday Central WCTU will hold a hos pitality tea Tuesday at the C he rn e k e t a street home of Mrs. Mayme Hill, with hours from 2 to 4 p. m. Miss Florence Tyler, of the Woman's division. Union Gos pel Mission of Portland, will speak. Pouring during the tea hour will be Mrs. A. C. Haag and Mrs. E. V. Teague, with Mrs. J. J. Nunn. Mrs. H. R. Mitchell and Mrs. W. A. Bark us assisting. Mrs. Elsie Roth will give several vocal numbers and Daisy Bell of Salem college and academy, will lead the devo tions.
