Uonen's Sizes Downstairs Store County Shares In School Fund Marion county schools received $102,700 wben $1,594560, repre senting the second half ot the state basic school support fund, was 'distributed Friday- by Secre tary of State Earl T. Newbry. The fund is distributed through out the stat to reduce county school tax levies and is appor tioned on the basis of $10 per capita for the number of children between the ages of 4 and 20 years. Linn county received $58,785 and Polk county $32,495, Newbry said. Committee Hears State VA Director William G. Gaarenstroom, direc tor of the state department of vet erans affairs gave a brief sum mary of his department's work in a speech before the Marion county veterans service committee in a Friday noon luncheon at the Mar ion hotel.
