Mrs. Baxter, who arrived in the capital Wednesday night, came north for the dedication services on Saturday of Baxter hall on the Willamette university campus, which was named for her late hus band, a former president of Wil lamette. Miss Trimble, a cousin of Mr. Wallace, is spending her spring vacation here from Leland Stan ford university, where she is tak ing post-graduate work. She Is a graduate of Vassar. Mrs. Jack Price was honored by her bridge club at a surprise shower Wednesday night when they were entertained at the home of Mrs. Andrew Halvorson on South Winter street Exhibit Givenfcby Girl Scouts Girl Scouts of troop S, leader, Mrs. Lewis M osier, gave an ex hibit Tuesday night at First Con gregational church. Displayed were arts and crafts, foods and sports, found in their homes wich were made or had originate! in foreign lands. Posters were made to depict the various countries, ar ticles were labeled, and a bulle tin board held a variety of subjects such as the Promise and Laws in Dutch and Spanish. The exhibit was given in" con nection with the International Friendship project, and for the purpose of raising money for "Seeds of Peace," to be sent to countries of Europe. Over a hundred attended, in cluding members of the troop's sponsoring organization, the May flower Guild of the First Con gregational church. Girl Scout leaders. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dalle cele brated their silver wedding anni versary at an open house Thurs day night at their country place in the Fruitland district. Friends called between t and 10 o'clock. Assisting the hosts about the rooms were Mrs. Carl Fisher. Miss Helen and Miss Evelyn ; Fisher, Mrs. Menno Da Ike and Miss AJene Dalke, daughter of the hosts. The table was centered with an ar rangement of daffodils and violets guarded by silver tapers. Mr. and Mrs. Dalke have two other children, Bruce and Norman, who live in Seattle.
