t Bridal Plans Revealed by Couples March brides-elect are buiy Completing plans for their wed dings, trousseau shopping and at tending a round of pre-nuptial parties. At the First Evangelical United 6rethren church on March 23 Miss onna Unruh, daughter of Mrs. larl A. Unruh, and Sydney Mur ray, son of Mr. and Mrs E. C. Murray of Vancouver, Wash , will exchange marriage vows. The Rev. Wilmer Brown will officiate at the 8:30 o'clock ceremony. Miss Edith Falrham will be soloist and Wil liam Fawk organist. Lighting the tapers will be Mrs. Donald Bee croft and Miss Rosabelle Ross. Robert Earl Unruh will give his sister In marriage. She has asked Mr?. Thomas C. Stevenson (Delphine Riney) to be her matron of honor and Miss Viola Swan ion her bridesmaid. Donald Ves-te-11 of Woodburn will serve as best man and ushers include Lar ry Shaw, Gordon Doncan. Thomas C. Stevenson and Gene Kester of Portland. A wedding reception will be held in the church parlors Y neons-Tow nsend Rites Miss Marilyn Townsend and Donald Yocom will be married on Saturday, March 27, at the First Congregational church. The bride elect Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D A. Townsend of Spokane and the groom-elect Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Yocom, who recently moved from Salem to Atwater, Calif. The afternoon ceremony will be performed by the Rev Seth Huntington at 4 o'clock James Rangland will ring and Miss Aldene Gould will be organist. Lighting the tapers will be the Misses Dennis and Patricia Tin dall of Toledo. Mr Townsend will give his daughter in marriage. Gwenda Boyer Tells Plans Wedding plans have been com pleted for the marriage of Miss Gwenda Boyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer T. Boyer, and Bernard O. Grindle, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Grindle of Terre Haute, Indiana, who will exchange vows on Sunday, March 28, at the Jason Lee Methodist church. Dr. Louis Kirby will offi ciate at the 3 o'clock nuptials. Wesley Bollinger" will be the solo ist and Jean Hobson Rich the organist. Lighting the tapers before the bridal party enters will be Mrs. Newell Williams, Jr., and Miss Patsy Kerber. Mr. Boyer will give his daughter In marriage. Miss Alice Adams will be the honor maid and Miss Beverly McMillan the bridesmaid. Joan and Jerry Silke, children of the Paul Silkes, will serve as flower girl and ring bearer. Jerry Boyer will stand with the groom-elect as best man and seating the guests will be Loel Wright and Newell Williams, Jr. A reception will follow in the church parlors. Copettes met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. E. Burke on North Winter street. Refreshments were served by the hostess with Mrs. L. Weaver and Mrs. G. Ed wards assisting. Others attending were Mesdames Luella Charlton, Joyce Skinner, Dorothy Schuetz, Ethel Tautfest, Marie Wilson, Bet ty Odle, Edna Main, Laura Scott, Elsie Parker and Marianne Es plin. The anniversary Is being celebrated by a nation-wide "giving" party featuring the Girl Scout "Clothes for Friendship" and "Seeds for Peace" projects. Mrs. Bale has been leader of this group of girls since they were Brownies. Seven of the original girls are still members of the trocp.
