Except for livestock trading-, all other markets were closed In ob servance of Washington's birthday anniversary. Hogs started' off at 23 to 50 cents lower with an early top price of $23.60, but at the close of trad ing were $1.50 off and the top was $22.50. Cattle, however, showed a stea dy to strong market tone and some medium grade steers were 25 to 50 cents a hundred pounds high er.
