Mr. Dill is ill in a San Fran Cisco hospital and was unabla to be here for his son's wedding. Miss Kirsch a January Bride WOODBURN The marriage of Miss ClemenUne Kirsch. daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Kir-tch of Woodburn, to Robert Gv Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Anderson of Silverton. tk place at St. Luke's Catholic church on January 10 with the Rev. Francis Hanley officiating. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of white chiffon designed with high tvckline and a ruffle on the yoke. The waistline at the back of the dres was ruffled, ending in a long train. The sleeves were long with ruffle edging. She wore a fingertip veil held in place with at Juliet cap. Her bouquet was of pink and white bouvardia cen tered with green orchids. Mis Virginia Kirsch, twin sis ter of the bride, was maid of honor and her dress was of blue satin. A reception was held in St. Luke's halL Assisting were Mrs. Lawrence Wolfe, sister of the bride, Mrs. Leslie Anderson, Mrs. Tony Kahut, Mrs. R. A. Lewis of Bremerton, Wash., Mrs. Har old Honunn and Misses Margaret Garnero, Mary Lou Haynes, Helen Gorman. Edna Hernunson and Dorothy Davis. For going away the bride chose a white suit and rose coat with black accessories. After a short wedding trip to the coast the couple will be at home in Silver ton where he is employed as a rural mail carrier. League Officers In Eugene Unless congress approves a plan to aid Europe by the end of March there might ai well be no aid program, declared Dr. Edna Landros before the League of Women Voters council of presi dents In Eugene last week. She urged league members to bring pressure to bear should the Euro pean Relief Program bog down in party politics. Ways of increasing membership and details of the publication of the Salem league bulletin were discussed by Mrs. Alden : Bowes, local president At the close the Salem league was congratulated by the council on its rapid growth to 44 members in nine months.
