CHICAGO, Jan. 9 i-VP) All commodities traded on the board of trade today encountered a strong demand and before the session was over another : batch of new seasonal all-time records were recorded. Best prices were made right at the close i when activity expanded. r New seasonal highs were scor ed by May and July corn, March, May and December oats and all soybean contracts. The high on March oats,. $1.321, was m new peak for any oats contract in the boards history. March soybeans, selling at $4.28 ft, set a record for any soybean delivery. Wheat closed 14-374 higher. May $2J)7V-4; corn was ltt 3V higher. May $2.60-2.60 tt; oats were tt-l4 higher, May $1.24 V4 4, and soybeans were up ' the) 8 -cent limit, March $4.28 In back of the grain strength was disappointment over the mar keting of wheat with . the turn of the year. Dealers said receipts were not as large as had been anticipated. Floods were reported as endan gering wheat lands in the Pacific northwest, but otherwise -crop comment was favorable. Modern.
