Oregon, Friday, Narember 23. 1947 Miss Shirley Hall Bride Of Robert Warren on Thanksgiving Day Fuchsia and white .were the colors Miss Shirley Hall selected for her marriage Thanksgiving afternoon when she became the bride of Robert C. Warren. The young couple exchanged their vows at the First Congregational church with the Rev. Seth Huntington officiat ing at the S o'clock nuptials. The brunette bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdig Hall and was given in marriage by her father. The benedict's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Warren. The altar was banked with ar rangements of fuchsia and white chrysanthemums flanked by white tapers. Lighting the candles were Wayne Hall, brother of the bride, and George Henann, jr. Clifford Wurm sang "Because" and "At Dawning." Mrs. Lewis Mitchell was the organist Of ivory satin was Ihe bridal gown designed with a fitted bodice nd nylon net yoke enhanced with a wide lace bertha ruffle. The aleeves were long and pointed and the full skirt ended in a court train. Tiny satin buttons extend ed down the back to the bustle. Her fingertip length tulle veil cas caded from a Mary Stuart head dress of satin edged in lace. s Her bridal bouquet was of gardenias andsatin ribbon. Preceding the bride to the altar were the Misses Josephine Haury, Nellie Holman, Marilyn Flohrer and Luella Campbell as brides maids and Mrs. Roy Herr as ma tron of honor. The bridesmaids wore identical frocks of fuchsia taffeta fashioned with low, round necklines edged with wide bertha collars, puffed sleeves and bustles urith full cVit-ia Th nr mat. ching heart shaped hats with white "taffeta trim and bows in back. The - honor matron wore a white taffeta town made with a bustle, full skirt, sweetheart neckline and short sleeves. Her white taffeta at was trimmed with fuchsia bow end streamers. The girls all car ried white muffs adorned with fuchsia roses and pom pom chry santhemums. Immediately preceding the bride walked, little Barbara Lee Duke of Sacramento, niece of the groom, as flower girl. She wore a white ruffled taffeta dress with bustle and carried a basket of fuchsia ,and white chrysanthe- " bearer. Attend the Groom James Edgar of Portland ) stood with the groom as best man and showing the guests to their seats were James Wenger Bruce Ham ilton and Gerald Comstock of Sa lem and Harry Edwards of Eu gene. For her daughter's nuptials Mrs. Hall chose a two-piece black silk crepe ensemble with sequin trim, black accessories and off the face hat with gold metallic ornament. Mrs. Warren attended her son's wedding in a black dress with gold trim on the belt and black hat with veiling. Their corsages were of gardenias and Cecile Brunner roses. The newlyweds rreeted their guests at a reception in the fire place room. Mrs. Alfred C. Wel come. Jr., of Bums, twin sister of the bride's mother, cut the cake, assisted by Mrs. George A. Noack. Mrs. R. A. Fraser of Albany, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Everett Trent of Dallas poured. At the runch bowl were Mrs. William Porath of Portland, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Robert Duke of Sacramento, sister of the groom. Members' of the bridal party as- em and Mrs. R. A. Fraser, jr., of Corvallis were in charge of the gifts. Rilma Jean Morris passed the dream cakes. When the couple left on their honeymoon the bride donned a kelly green suit with brown acces sories and hat with cocoa brown feather. Pinned to the shoulder of her suit was a gardenia, corsage. Stark (Ra mona Bedard) who was married on October 26 at the Jason Lee church with a reception following at the home of the groom's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Stark. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sterling. The couple will live in Salem. (Kennell niis). Visitation Night At Mill City Motoring to Mill City Wednes day night were a group of VFW members, who attended the monthly visitation night of Dls trict No. 20 VFW. Mrs. Adam En- gel, chairman, was assisted by- Mrs. Joseph Domogalla in serving a covered dish dinner. The next meeting will be December 23, when Mrs. Joseph Henny will be chairman, assisted by Mrs. B. C Zielinski. Holiday guests at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Carl W. Emmons were her sister and family, Mr, and Mrs. Martin Lindle and sons, Bruce and Blair of Oregon City, and Miss Margaret Jane Emmons, who is home from Oregon State college for the weekend.
