KNIGHTS VISIT
A group of about 35 members
of the Salem Knights of Colum
bus motored to Mt. Angel Tues
day night to visit with that coun
cil in a joint meeting. Led by
Grand Knight Al Kramer, the
Salem group made the trip fol
lowing a buffet lunch here in
honor of the council's softball
team. The visit was made, Kram
er said, in an effort to stimulate
mutual interest among Willamette
valley councils.

Silver Creek recreation area Mon

and there was a display of handi
craft articles produced by the girls

Wednesday morning when the ar
rests were made in the 1900 block
of North Commercial street. The
charge connected with breaking
glass, involved the throwing of
an ale bottle on the street, police
records said.
