place to get hop pickers. Seaman
has been advertising for pickers
for some weeks without response
and picking will begin in the
early fuggles shortly. Seaman be
lieves that picking in late yards
will not begin until September 1
or later. The late are really late
thin year, he adds. Mildew and
lice are given as the reason for the
slow maturing of these hops. The
lice are under control, but the
mildew is still popping up, Sea
man says.
