Fourteen former CEC officers are known to be in this area, as well a many former CEC en ' lined men, according to Comdr. Mollis W. Libby. who presided at the meeting last night. He also seated that another meeting will be announced hi the tear-future "to which all former sea bees and former CEC men wtil be invited. July 25 -AV The Dutch declared today they virtually had completed the first phase of their military operations in Java, and Dutch officials indi cated they now were turning to political consolidation of their position through organization of a new Indonesian government. Acting Governor General Hu bertus J. Van Mook declared a "regular government' would work in cooperation with the Indones ians, toward formation of a United States of Indonesia. High republican circles in the Indonesian capital of Jogjakarta gave no sign, however, that the forces of the republic were pre paring to abandon the fight Forest Road Fund Compromise Set Compromise in appropriation of funds for forest road projects was reached by the senate - house conference committee, according to a telegram Friday from U. S. Sen. Guy Cordon to County Judge Grant Murphy, regarding action on the agriculture department budget. The senate, which had approved higher funds, won a victory in the committee's recommendation for $11,000,000 for forest develop ments roads, over the house s $10,- 000,000.
