The sickling Beavers when In spring training had crop of youthful New York Tankee farmhands to pick over. They picked and tent the I rest back. Jack Wilson wanted at least three of the culls for his Sal ems but was told that Inasmuch as the Yanks had a farm club la the WO. in Victoria It would be Illegal to send the players to Salem. They are now with Victoria, Bat on the -other hand we have this: The Beavers are In cahoots with the Yankees who are In the same league with the Detroit Tigers. The Yankees have players on both the Beaver and Oakland clubs In the PCL and darned If It Isn't legal for Detroit to send player George Vice on option to the same Reavers! . Yankee Tieup has Hero in Dither I It's only a guess, but wo would say that the Beavers tleup with e Yankees Is Instigating much of the local woe. Because of that felatioaship. If the Yankees want certain players to go to certain clubs or Instance, their own Victoria chattel the Beavers salute and send said players to said club. Duane Crawford went to Denver, and Denver Is another Yankee farm. Tis but a guess this, bat If we're right and such maneuvers are to continue leaving the Senators off were they home owned and out from under the Beaver wing. Those who pay their way through the Waters portals won't stand f?r double dealing and a losing ball club mothered even, by the Portlands.
